Delete Your HugDove Account

You can delete your HugDove account at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent — your profile disappears from HugDove and can't be recovered. If you only want a break, you can deactivate your account instead from the same settings screen.

How to delete your account

In the HugDove app (Android or iPhone)

1. Open HugDove and go to the Me tab.
2. Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
3. Tap Account Settings, then Delete Account.
4. Confirm with your password, or type DELETE if you sign in with your Motaware account.

On the website

1. Sign in at hugdove.com.
2. Go to Settings → Account Settings → Delete Account (direct link).
3. Confirm with your password, or type DELETE.

Can't sign in?

Email help@hugdove.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my HugDove account”, or use our contact form. We'll confirm the request comes from you and delete the account within 30 days.

What we delete

Immediately when you delete your account:

• Your profile: username, photos, videos, bio and every profile detail (including gender, orientation, interests and location)
• Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and address
• Identity and photo verification images
• Your conversations and their attachments (for both you and the people you were talking to)
• Likes, matches, favorites, profile views, blocks and notifications
• Settings, saved searches, boosts and other in-app items, login history and push-notification tokens
• The link to your Motaware sign-in — signing in again later starts a brand-new account

Deleted data can remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.

What we keep, and for how long

A small set of records is kept for legal, tax and safety reasons. They are attached to an anonymous placeholder — no name, email, phone number or date of birth:

• Purchase records (orders, subscriptions, refunds, promo codes): up to 7 years, for tax and accounting
• Support tickets you opened: up to 2 years
• Safety records (reports made by or about you, and moderation notes): up to 2 years, to keep the community safe

Subscriptions

• A subscription paid on hugdove.com is cancelled automatically when you delete your account.
• A subscription bought through Google Play or the App Store is not cancelled by deleting your account. Cancel it in the Google Play Store (Payments & subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings, or you may keep being charged.
